About TOC Automotive College

Established in 2004, TOC Automotive College is the pioneer in professional automotive education that ensures mobility and employability. TOC’s dream is to inspire society to believe in the limitless career possibilities and successes of automotive technicians and motivate automotive professionals to believe in their positive contribution to society. We constantly improve our pedagogy, qualifications, facilities, staff and industry partnerships to empower our graduates with the right attitude, skills and knowledge to achieve global recognition and success.

Our programmes are accredited by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE); the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); the Ministry of Human Resources (MoHR); the Department of Skills Development (JPK); the Training and Employment Recognition Council, Queensland Government, Australia; The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), UK; and City &Guilds International, UK. TOC has been accorded premier status accreditation by Accreditation Services for International Colleges (ASIC), a recognition given to only 5% of the world’s automotive education institutions. TOC opened its first overseas campus in Gold Coast, Australia under the brand name Trade & Occupational College of Australia Pty Ltd (TOC Australia).

Campus

To prepare the students for the sophisticated and electronically complex automobiles they will face in the workplace, TOC has invested heavily in the latest technology based training and equipment. Some of the facities in TOC include:

  • Autotronics Laboratory - This dedicated auto-electrical and electronics training system gives students a thorough understanding of fault diagnostic techniques.
  • Variety of Training Vehicles -  At TOC they are exposed to the latest engines and cars with an extensive garage of bought-in and partner-supplied vehicles from brands including Citröen, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Subaru, Hyundai and Proton, as well as our race-tuned Nissan Skyline R34 and Subaru Impreza STI Vr. 8 and the next generation technology of the Honda Civic Hybrid.
  • Chassis Dynamometer - TOC is the first college in Malaysia to provide an in-house four-wheel Dynojet for student use, giving them the unique ability to run front-wheel, rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive vehicle diagnostics on the same system.
  • E-Learning - This online automotive diagnostic program operates much like a realistic console game and allows students to learn in a dynamic and experiential format.
  • Software - TOC uses a top-of-the-line programmable Engine Control Unit manufactured by industry leader
  • and engine management expert MoTeC, which is used by race teams worldwide.
  • Dedicated Component Training Areas - At TOC, a whole floor is dedicated to the teaching of specific automotive subjects including chassis, drive train, engines and engine management.
  • Engine Blueprinting Lab - Emphasizing the role of efficiency, students are able to demonstrate the relationships between different components and learn how those links can improve or reduce the engine's power output.
  • Shopisticated equipment including engine, EFI, Chassis, Electrical & Electronic, and Motorsport

Located in the vibrant city of Petaling Jaya, just 15 km from central Kuala Lumpur, TOC comprises state-of-the-art learning facilities complete with a fleet of modern training vehicles, fully air-conditioned workshops, dedicated component training areas, electrical and electronic simulators, autotronics lab, and more to provide a conducive learning environment for our students.

At TOC, we foresaw these developments and moved quickly to invest in the kind of high-end equipment and facilities that ensure that our students are able to adapt to this rapidly evolving environment. Coupled with a staff of top-grade experienced trainers sourced from around the world, we are able to engage students with technologically-advanced equipment and software to provide them with a constantly evolving, world-class automotive education.

TOC is also the only automotive college to house a Dyno Jet four-wheel dynamometer in its courses.
