Malaysian Students Win in Geneva

Ahmad Asyraf Aqil Ariffin and Ahmad Luqmanul Hakim Ahmad Tarmizi from Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Kuala Terengganu won the gold medal and best overall award at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2016 held in Switzerland.

Their product, ‘Power Bank: EXIECO PB’ beat 1,000 participants from 48 countries. The idea was conceived when Ahmad Asyhraf faced an electricity problem during the floods.
The environmentally-friendly device was created with three main components to generate electricity: coal, aluminum, and brine (salt water).
