About Coventry University

Coventry College of Design (CC) was established in 1843. After a long tradition as a provider of education, Coventry University was set up under UK government legislation in 1992. The university provides high quality education and focuses on applied research. With connections to the forefront of businesses and organisations in the public and voluntary sectors, students here are able to access project and placement opportunities that encourage experiential learning and enhance their employability on graduation.

Academic programs at Coventry University are mainly offered through four faculties:

  • Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  • Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing 
  • Faculty of Health and Life Sciences 
  • Faculty of Business and Law 

Aside from the provision of well-equiped facilities in all academic disciplines including health, design and engineering laboratories, performing arts studios and computing centre, students at Coventry enjoy a wide range of clubs and societies activities, welfare assistance, and volunteering projects available throughout the academic year. Accommodation

The University offers a variety of accommodation options, including University Owned properties, Managed and Partnership properties. The following is a list of housing facilities (not comprehensive) available for:

All accommodation is within walking distance from the main University campus – some properties may be less than a minute away while others can be 20 minutes away. Both single and mixed sex accommodation are available in the shared flats, blocks and houses. Some of the housing options also provide catered meals and free membership at the University gym.

 

Campus

Coventry University's single-site campus comprises over 20 buildings on the main 33-acre site in Coventry city centre. The campus is constantly developing and evolving - with large sums of investment being made to improve its buildings and facilities - to ensure the university's place at the leading edge of innovation in teaching and enterprise. To date, there are more than 2,400 students PCs on site and the campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Other campus services and facilities include:
