About Sydney Institute of Business Technology
Sydney Institute of Business (SIBT) is a private tertiary college working in collaboration with Macquarie University. SIBT operates on Macquarie University campus, while offering Foundation Studies (Pre-University) and University level Diplomas. An SIBT diploma course is equivalent to the first year of a Macquarie bachelor degree; after completion, students advance directly into the second year of their relevant degree program at Macquarie University. The transition is smooth from high school to university level studies with personalised teaching and unparalleled access to academic support.
The SIBT courses and approach to teaching are unique. As an SIBT student, students will be on the Macquarie University campus, studying first year university units. SIBT students become independent learners who have the skills and knowledge to succeed at Macquarie. SIBT students will develop themselves, have the opportunity to gain lifetime friendships and establish career networks with fellow students from Australia and around the world. Upon successful completion of a SIBT Diploma, students enter the appropriate Bachelor Degree into 200 level units. All successfully completed units at SIBT will count for credit in a Bachelor Program at Macquarie University.
