Universities Around the World That Accept UEC Qualification

United Examination Certificate (UEC) is a pre-university programme recognised by many top universities abroad and private local universities.

However, Malaysia’s public universities continue to refuse admission for UEC holders due to the lack of Malaysian history and geography subjects in its syllabus. Furthermore, those who have UEC but don’t have SPM are not eligible to apply for PTPN loan.

In the past few years, the United Chinese Schools Committees Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) has made several attempts to make government recognise UEC. Recently, University of Selangor or UNISEL, a state-owned university, announced that it will recognise UEC beginning 2016.
