While debating a Motion of Thanks for the Royal Address by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Wednesday, Anuar Abd Manap (BN-Sekijang) said that people should see more at the advantages, at the same time, not to underestimate the Form 6 education.
Anuar highlighted that as compared to a three-year diploma course, the two-year Form 6 education is more affordable and is a faster way to entering and, eventually getting a degree programme.
Anuar also emphasised that the STPM certificate is a bonus when it comes to public sector job application.
“The STPM (Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia) certificate (obtained during Form 6 studies) is also valid to be used to further education indefinitely, as opposed to a matriculation certificate, which is only valid up to two years after finishing the course,” Anuar said during the debate.
