This great invention is expected to launch on 9 April 2016 at Rumah Himpunan Senavong Sarawak. This water filter was first developed by the Institute of Graduate Studies deputy dean in UM, Professor Dr. Mohamed Kheireddine Aroua, in cooperation with his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) project group in 2014.
Professor Ir Dr Mohd Azlan Hussain, the co-inventor of the water filter explained that the machine is capable of producing clean water up to 500 to 800 litres per hour, thus able to cater to the needs of more than 1,000 people daily.
