UCSI University’s Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) is a research-driven programme that advances knowledge in fields such as electrical, mechanical, civil, and petroleum engineering. It equips candidates with the skills to analyze problems, conduct research, and apply solutions in industry and commerce. The programme includes a 3-credit Research Methodology course to support high-quality research and publication, while encouraging participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, and journal clubs to strengthen research skills and professional networks.

Entry Requirements

A master’s degree (MQF level 7) in Engineering or related fields accepted by the University Senate; OR
-
Other qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree (MQF level 7) recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

Candidates without a related qualification in the engineering or working experience in the engineering fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the University.
