Sunway University marks the one-year anniversary of its dynamic global partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), celebrating a transformative collaboration that has broadened opportunities for Malaysian students to pursue an authentic American education, right here in Malaysia.

“The ASU partnership was a big reason I chose this programme,” shared Anna Kaur, an Actuarial Science student at Sunway University. “It made me feel confident that I’d be getting a high-quality, global education, something that would really prepare me for an international career. Plus, knowing I would get access to ASU’s resources right here in Malaysia was a huge bonus.”
The collaboration also benefits students in the American Degree Transfer Program (ADTP). Hailey Yong, an ADTP student, said: “The partnership has given me the opportunity to experience an authentic American education right here at Sunway. I have been exposed to a more interactive and critical-thinking-based learning environment, similar to what students experience in the U.S.”
Beyond the classroom, students gain transferable skills such as analytical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership, all qualities that are essential to prepare them for success in a global workforce.
