Association of Charted Certified Accountants (ACCA)

The ACCA Qualification at Sunway College Ipoh is a globally recognized accounting programme by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), designed for students aiming to become qualified professional accountants. 💡 Duration Pathways

• 4 semesters (2 years) – with ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (AFIA)
• 5 semesters (2 years 5 months) – with other relevant qualifications
• 2 semesters (1 year) – with a recognised accounting degree exemption

• ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (AFIA) or SPM / O-Level: Minimum 5 credits (including English and Mathematics)
• UEC: Minimum 5 credits, including Mathematics and English
• STPM / A-Level: Minimum 2 passes and 3 credits in SPM / O-Level (including English and Mathematics)
• Matriculation / Foundation: Minimum CGPA 2.50 plus a credit in Mathematics at SPM level
• Other equivalent qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis

English Requirement (International Students):

• IELTS 4.0 or MUET Band 3

Progression Pathway

SPM / O-Level or equivalent → Start with ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (AFIA)

STPM / A-Level / Foundation or equivalent → Progress directly into ACCA Qualification (Applied Knowledge level)

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent → Enter with exemptions into higher ACCA levels

Students are also required to fulfil the Practical Experience Requirement (PER), which can be acquired before, during, or after completing the programme, to qualify as an ACCA member.
