About Solihull College

Whether you are leaving school or an adult wanting to learn new skills, there are many opportunities for you at Solihull College. We offer a variety of professional and vocational courses, serving over 10,000 full and part-time students living and working across Solihull, Warwickshire and Birmingham. We will help prepare you for your next step into higher-level study or employment as we continue to surpass our most successful achievements year-on-year. We aim to find a place for everyone, with courses offered from beginner to degree-level. Even if you have no qualifications we will support you towards your goal. The College has a strong track record working with employers to find you your next job or promotion and our advanced level 3 qualified students are accepted by universities, with high grades treated the same as A-Level subjects.

Solihull College is an exciting place to study and our strong financial position has enabled us to invest in our two bright modern campuses. We continue to enhance these superb facilities, with £2m to be invested on a brand new aeronautical and aviation centre planned for September 2015. With an emphasis on quality, a high standard of education is delivered to help you gain the skills and qualifications you need to fulfil your potential.

Campus information

There are two main campuses in Solihull College:

  • Blossomfield Campus
  • Woodlands Campus

Blossomfield Campus:

  • Solihull's main bus and train station is a 10 minute walk from the campus with the number 6, 30, 49, 69, 76, 166, 173.174, 175, 519 bus routes stopping outside the College campus.

Woodlands Campus:

  • The main bus terminal in north Solihull is located in Chelmsley Wood centre. The number 94, 676, 694, 71, 966 and 966A stop at the main terminal with the number 94 stopping on Auckland Drive. The nearest train stations are Marston Green or Water Orton station both located approximately 20 minutes away.

Accommodation

Blossomfield Campus:

  • Every student at Blossomfield can access top-of-the-range IT resources in our Millennium Building, a substantial library, video and sound recording studios, hair and beauty salons, horticulture and animal care facilities and a superb language centre.

Woodlands Campus:

  • The new Engineering and Construction facility houses twelve new workshops; six for construction and six for motor vehicle. The rooms accommodate an MOT/motor sport workshop; an engine workshop and further rooms for decorating, plastering and brickwork.
