Sureworks Fair helps school leavers discover their next step

Sureworks, one of Malaysia’s long-running education fair providers, held its year-end Education and Further Studies Fair - Series 48 on 15 and 16 December 2018, at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. It was open to the public for free from 11am to 7pm on both days.

With more than 100 institutions such as Taylor’s University, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) and IACT college present at the event, visitors had plenty of higher education options to explore - from certificate to PhD courses, covering fields such as business, medicine, communication, hotel management, music and many others.

Many of the universities also prepared special offers such as scholarships and fee waivers. Other highlights include talks featuring industry professionals, career tests and the Fun Quiz Spin & Win contest. Those who joined the contest could win extravagant prizes such as rebate vouchers for courses at the International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW), notebook computers and mobile phones.

The fair was an especially timely event for students moving on to tertiary education, with the completion of the year’s SPM, STPM and UEC examinations. They were not the only ones who made up the vibrant crowd though, as parents, teachers and working adults also visited the fair.

EasyUni also attended the fair, as one of Sureworks’ official media partners and exhibitors. The EasyUni team distributed their 2018 Ultimate University Guidebooks, which contain useful information and tips about programmes, university life and studying abroad.

Visitors who had questions regarding universities, courses and education pathways could stop by the booth to get free advice and guidance from EasyUni counsellors. The team also taught them how to use the EasyUni website to search for and compare courses, to make their search for the right university much easier.  Additionally, EasyUni prepared fun games and gifts for visitors to play and win!
