Southern New Hampshire University is a not-for-profit, regionally accredited university with an 80-year history of educating successful professionals. SNHU has a total enrollment of more than 35,000 students in more than 180 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs, available online, at our main campus in Manchester, N.H., and at our regional centers in New Hampshire and Maine.

Accommodation

Residence halls consist mainly of double rooms in suites with various capacities; students share a common lounge and bath. Furnished with desks, chairs, beds, drapes and wardrobes.

  • Chocorua Residence Hall contains the Residence Life office, as well as dorm rooms for 66 students. Wellness housing, our substance-free residence area, is located in this residence. Single or double rooms are available

  • Washington Residence Hall has beautiful views of the Merrimack River, and houses 242 students. Single and double rooms are available. Amenities include large student lounges, conference room spaces, and newly renovated common bathrooms

  • Winnisquam Residence Hall is equipped with single and double rooms. It's amenities include large student lounges and a central locations near the Student Center

  • The New Castle Residence Hall was completed in 2001 and houses 200 students. Single and double rooms are available. Amenities include large student lounges and great study spaces. This hall is located near the Athletic complex

The Townhouses area consist of Attitash Hall, Cranmore Hall, Hillsboro Hall, Rockingham Hall and Sunapee Hall.

  • They are furnished with desks, chairs, beds, drapes, wardrobes, living room and kitchen furniture, as well as a stove and refrigerator.
  • Students must provide their own pots, pans, glasses, plates and silverware. 
  • Juniors and seniors usually reside in the townhouses and freshmen and sophomores are usually assigned to residence halls.

Apartments consist of four (single occupancy for the East Side Apartment Area and double occupancy for the West Side Apartment Area) and six (double occupancy in the West Side Apartment area) person accommodations.

  • Students share a common kitchen, living room and bath.
  • Furnished with desks, chairs, beds, drapes, wardrobes, living room and kitchen furniture, as well as a stove and refrigerator. Students must provide their own pots, pans, glasses, plates and silverware.

Athletics & Recreation Complex

  • Outdoor facilities include four tennis courts, recently renovated baseball and softball diamonds, a lighted soccer/lacrosse field, practice fields and a 3.1 mile (5k) cross country course.
  • Southern New Hampshire University's athletic complex is considered one of the finest in the region, and boasts a 5,500 square-foot fitness center containing state-of-the-art equipment as well as free weights and a climbing wall.
  • 2,000-seat fieldhouse (with a function room that overlooks it)

​​​SNHU Fitness Center

The university's 5,500 square-foot Fitness Center is equipped with the latest in cardiovascular equipment, as well as, free weights and a 10-foot climbing wall. The center also has eight televisions, a 10-speaker sound system and a student lounge. The center is open daily to students, and staff members are available to familiarize you with the equipment.

Library

  • Shapiro Library supports all SNHU students whether they are online or on campus. Using innovative services and technologies, the library delivers information and instruction necessary for academic success and lifelong learning.
  • Shapiro Library provides online access to and instruction on leading business, education, arts and sciences databases. This selection of over 100 databases contains full-text journals, magazines, reports and newspapers chosen to support the curriculum.

The Manchester regional center is located at 2500 N. River Road on the main campus of Southern New Hampshire University with access to traditional student resources, including a state-of-the-art computer lab, the Shapiro Library and a full-service dining hall. Benefits of our Manchester regional center include small class sizes, one-on-one support from faculty and student success advocates, academic advising, career services, and flexible schedules and course formats.
