About Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA Kuala Lumpur

Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA Kuala Lumpur (KUPTM), formerly known as Kolej Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (KYPM) was established as a private higher educational institution under the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996 (Act 555) in September 2003. Managed by Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), KPTM offers a wide range of educational opportunities  in the field of information technology, computer science, accounting, business management, engineering and  health sciences.

Our commitment to life-long learning and flexibilty to education are reflected in the diversity of the programmes offered through the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). Since its establishment in 1995, CCE has offered part time and distance learning programmes ranging from certificates, diplomas, degrees in a multitude of areas, as well as short courses conducted in collaboration with the local and international universities and partner institutions.

Today, since October 2015, KPTM KL is proudly known as Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA (KUPTM), offering high quality home-grown degree programmes in the area of Accountancy, Communication, Human Resources, English and Information Security. With this progress, KUPTM is ever ready to produce more quality and professional Bumiputera who are able to function resiliently and effectively at the global stage.

Accommodation

Student Accommodation Unit assists students in their search for accommodation while studying at the institution. Presently, the unit is responsible for the management of Desa Siswi Hostel, Pandan Mewah Hostel, Seri Bayou Apartments, Seri Pandan Hostel, Pandan Utama Hostel.

The accommodation unit is able to place students into one of these five hostels location every semester. The hostels are managed by Resident Assistants (RA) who assist students in every aspects possible besides being responsible for their welfare and well-being. Rules and regulation are strictly enforced to ensure a harmonious atmosphere around the hostels and for the sake of the students as well.

Students who rather live off-campus, the unit will assist them by recommending rented homes in the nearby area of the institution. A good rapport with all housing agencies, and the local town-hall authorities (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL) is important to ensure the welfare and safety of the students.

Campus

Located just 8 kilometres away from the Petronas Twin Tower (KLCC), KUPTM is truly a city campus. Its strategic location, makes it well-connected to all parts of the city of Kuala Lumpur by various modes of transportation. As such, getting around the city is easy at any time of the day. The light rail transport (LRT) station Pandan Jaya, is situated just next to the college while buses and taxis continually ply the routes to the city centre and the surrounding areas. A scheduled transportation to and from college is also provided for students who stay in the college accommodation.
