Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU), earlier - The Russian State Medical University (RSMU) is one of the oldest medical higher educational establishments in Russia.

In 2006 we celebrated the university's 100th anniversary. We are proud to be the first educational establishment in Russia where a faculty for higher medical education for women was formed. We were pioneers in opening in 1930 at our University the first pediatric faculty in the world which has become a role model for pediatric faculties in other countries all over the world. The world's first faculty for medico-biologics was opened in our University in 1964.

It consists of four hotel-type buildings with a dining hall. Accommodation at the student hostels is provided for all out-of-town students.

We are happy to offer you following major programs for study: clinical medicine, pediatrics, medical biochemistry, medical biophysics, medical cybernetics, clinical psychology, social work, dentistry and pharmacy. Having got basic education you can continue your education at clinical internships, postgraduate studies, institutions of doctoral candidacy.

More than 1900 lecturers working at over 100 departments are willing to share their knowledge and skills with you. We work in conjunction with the biggest Moscow state clinical hospitals. Upon your wish you can also participate actively in curing people and take duties at clinics with our senior professors.

We will provide you with optimal conditions for efficient studying at our University. There is a comfortable dormitory with good living conditions for our students, a wonderful sports center for doing sports and trainings, a rich library with study materials required and recommended and halls with internet excess where you can get all the needed medical information on-line.

We also have a very good recreation camp located on the Volga bank where you can have a remarkable rest during winter and summer time and get energized for further studies.
