Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture

Established in 1936, the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture is the only one of its kind in all of Beijing. Highly acclaimed since the reestablishment of China to New China, the BUCEA has been noted as one of the driving forces behind the redevelopment of Beijing as a capital city; developing urban and rural construction through higher education.

BUCEA offers courses on the key disciplines of development: architecture, civil engineering, surveying and mapping science and technology, management science and engineering, and urban planning study.

A 10-time winner of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, Science and Technology Invention Award, BUCEA graduates have a 95% employability rate upon finishing their studies.

Foreign students have two dormitory options:

Xicheng Campus

Covers 123,000 square meters, with 202,000 square meters of buildings and facilities.

Daxing Campus

Covers 501,000 square meters, with 265,000 square meters of buildings and facilities.

BUECA campuses are home to the China Architectural Library which is co-built with MOHURD. With 1,529,000 printed books, 1,210,000 electronic books, and 46 large electronic literature databases; BUCEA easily boasts the most complete collection of architectural books in all of China.
