About Wichita State University (WSU)
Wichita State's two square kilometers campus has 65 buildings and one of the nation's top outdoor sculpture collections. A free shuttle system is available for students, faculty, staff and visitors to WSU. The bus makes stops at different buildings and residence halls.
The University has impressive facilities including a large library with over two million items, including 200 electronic database, 25,000 electronic journal and electronic books. The campus has a Wi-Fi network for fast and easy access to the internet. The University operates its own TV and radio stations and has a large sports complex, basketball arena, baseball and softball stadiums, track stadium, a bowling alley, and a large tennis complex.
Wichita State is one of the safest universities of its size in the U.S. The campus has its own police department and a city police station is located next to campus.
Over the next decade, Wichita State University will be expending by adding more than a dozen new buildings for its Innovation Campus. In addition to the new business school building and residence halls, the Innovation Campus will also be home to outside businesses that are interested in employing our students in meaningful research.
Wichita is the largest city in Kansas. With a city area of 423 km2 Wichita has a metropolitan population of 630,000 people. Wichita is the cultural, industrial, and financial center of Kansas. The city has been given the prestigious All-American City award three times.
The new airport, Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT), is 20 minutes away from campus. The University provides free airport arrival assistance to new international students.

Living on campus at Wichita State means easy access to absolutely everything on campus, including hundreds of new friends. It also means free cable, free high-speed Web access, TV lounges, game rooms, computer labs and basketball courts. Oh, yeah, and laundry facilities. And suite-style bathrooms.

Wichita State University will be doubling in size within the next few years. This expansion will bring many more opportunities for students to work on campus because we are building an Innovation Campus. Wichita State University will be partnering with companies and bringing many new jobs to WSU students.
