The Wayne State College Library has more than 350,000 volumes housed in more than 75,000 square feet. The library has 60 laptops available for students to check out to use in a totally wireless environment. Online access is provided to 40,000 journals and approximately 200,000 e-books. The library’s special collections include the Val Peterson papers, the Robert Zahniser film collection and the Children’s Book Examination Center.

Wayne State College provides high-speed or wireless internet connections to each student. All WSC residence halls and most WSC administration buildings provide wireless service.

Each WSC academic building contains more than one smart classroom, also known as technology enhanced classrooms, which create new opportunities in teaching and learning by integrating networking, digital and audio visual technologies.

Accommodation

There are three types of rooms in each residence hall:

Standard Rooms are designed for multiple occupants and have been assigned to meet the rooms capacity. These include standard double, triple and quad occupancy rooms.

Premium Rooms are designed for multiple occupants that have dropped below the rooms capacity. When this happens, the remaining resident or residents are given the option to buy out the remaining space and keep these larger rooms as private accommodations. For example, one resident living in a standard double occupancy room electing to retain the room as a private would pay the premium room rate.

Single Rooms are only capable of holding a single occupant. These rooms by design are smaller than a Standard Room.
