About University of Rhode Island
All of the students come from dozens of countries. Hence, the students have a chance to learn international culture. Currently, there are more than 13,250 undergraduate students and 3,000 graduate students enrolling in this university. The main campus of University of Rhode Island is Kingston Campus. In addition, there are three campuses:
1. Feinstein Providence Campus
The University’s Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Continuing Education and several other departments are housed at the newly renovated, historic Shepard Building in the heart of downtown Providence.
2. Narragansett Bay Campus
Overlooking the West Passage of Narragansett Bay, this 153-acre campus is home to URI’s highly acclaimed Graduate School of Oceanography, one of the top five oceanographic institutions in the country.
3. W. Alton Jones Campus
Alton Jones Campus features 2,300 acres of pristine forests, streams, ponds, and a 75-acre lake, and is the site of a year-round National Center for Environmental Education.
The main campus of the University of Rhode Island is located in Kingston, 30 miles south of Providence, 75 miles from Boston, and 160 miles from New York City. R.I. Route 138, which connects with Interstate Route 95 ten miles to the west, passes through Kingston.
