These academic units operate collaboratively with the University of Kansas Hospital, which provides opportunities for clinical experience and residency positions.
The School of Medicine-Wichita is the state center for community-oriented medical education. In partnership with Kansas communities, it educates students, residents, and physicians through scholarship, patient care, services, and research to improve the health of Kansans. The School of Pharmacy-Wichita, housed in a new addition to the medical school, provides exceptional training in the pharmaceutical sciences. Faculty in pharmacy practice and basic science provide a firm foundation, and students also study alongside their Lawrence campus counterparts via high-definition video conferencing and two-way classrooms.
