Accommodation

The University of Evansville guarantees residence hall rooms for all freshmen and sophomores. Students entering as Freshmen must reside on campus for a minimum of two academic years or the equivalent of four full term semesters. Freshmen and sophomores who meet one of the following criteria may request an exemption:

  1. The student’s local residence is with parents or legal guardians in Vanderburgh or contiguous counties.
  2. The student has attained the age of 21 prior to the start of the academic year.
  3. The student is married and/or must live with a dependent.

The exemption form must be filed with Residence Life.

The housing process for new UE students begins the minute you send in your admission deposit. Your $100 housing deposit is included in your $300 admissions deposit.

Then, in late February, any student who has paid that deposit will receive a message within the UE Students Application Portal from the Office of Residence Life. This message will include information on how to access UE's online application materials for housing and meal plans.
