About The Art Institute of Colorado

For over 60 years The Art Institute of Colorado has been a vital resource to the metro Denver community, with more than 12,000 graduates as of June 2016  working both locally and around the world. The school is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over 50 education institutions throughout North America, providing an important source of design, media arts, fashion, and culinary professionals. The Art institute of Colorado prepares graduates for entry-level careers in the design, arts, and culinary industries.

 The Art Institute of Colorado offers the dedication of our faculty and staff to every student admitted. It is an honor to present you with the chance to acquire the proficiencies necessary to graduate and develop your career with artistic direction. 

Campus information

The Art Institute has various facilities and resources for their student such as: Black-and-white and color photography labs, film and photography stages, film editing equipment, computer labs, a professional recording studio, fabrication shops, printmaking labs, classrooms, an art gallery, culinary labs/kitchens, a comprehensive library, industrial design shop and many other vital resources.

The Art Institute of Colorado is located in the Golden Triangle, a young, growing region known for its outdoor lifestyle and growing culinary scene.


For many, living with friends and peers is a quintessential part of the college experience, and The Office of Residential Life and Housing can connect you with the resources and information you need about School-Sponsored Housing and/or independent housing referral services.

In the School-Sponsored Housing program, you’ll be assigned to a unit in a local apartment complex along with other students. Student Resident Assistants will also live on-site and can help you connect with your peers by facilitating on-site activities and social, cultural, and creative programs. Basic furnishing and utilities are included in the quarterly housing charge.*

*Not all Art Institutes locations offer School-Sponsored Housing.
