SUNY - ESF Regional Campuses & Field Stations
Approximately 25,000 acres of regional campus lands and facilities offer unparalleled learning and research opportunities. Students participate in hands-on field and lab activities in locations where state-of-the-art technology is as much at home as it is on the main campus. 

SUNY - ESF Newcomb Campus
Encompassing over 15,000 acres of Adirondacks wildlands, SUNY - ESF's Newcomb Campus offers incomparible opportunities for learning and research. Newcomb is the yearround home to three major centers of study and public education.

The Ranger School
The 2,800-acre campus, located in the heart of the six million–acre Adirondack Park, supports the field-based education which is a hallmark of The Ranger School experience. The main campus building houses state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, lakea conference room, and a dining facility. Additional facilities include a library, a dry lab, a computer lab with 24 stations, student residence rooms, and entertainment and recreation areas.

The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry is located in the University Hill section of Syracuse, an area with plentiful cultural and civic opportunities.

Syracuse is located in Onondaga County, the geographic center of New York State, on the eastern edge of the Finger Lakes. It is within a five-hour drive of New York City, Toronto, and the High Peaks Region of the Adirondack Mountains.

Freshman Housing at ESF's Syracuse Campus
SUNY-ESF freshman are required to live on-campus, unless your permanent home address is within commuting distance. Upon acceptance at SUNY-ESF, students will receive complete information about housing options, fees, and application process.

Centennial Hall
All SUNY - ESF freshmen live in Centennial Hall, the SUNY - ESF residence hall. Centennial Hall is an environmentally friendly “green” building that houses 549 SUNY - ESF students in a combination of residence hall style rooms and student apartments. It is located on the western edge of the SUNY - ESF campus on Oakland Street, just a short walk down the hill from Baker Laboratory.
