Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is a leading national research university and the state of New Jersey’s preeminent, comprehensive public institution of higher education. Rutgers University–New Brunswick is made up of five campuses located on both sides of the Raritan River. The campuses are connected by a free, campuswide bus system. The undergraduate schools are residential, with a variety of living accommodations on the five campuses.
