About Northwest Nazarene University
NNU is situated on an 88-acre, park-like campus with 34 buildings including seven residence halls and apartment complexes, a baseball field, softball field, soccer field, tennis courts and an Olympic-sized track
Over 10,000 students. This year we have 1,323 undergraduate students, 712 graduate students, and more than 6,000 taking courses online or for Continuing Education. A majority of our students come from all over the Northwest and parts of California. However, we do have international students from Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, and many other countries.
Northwest Nazarene University is located in Nampa, Idaho (population of approximately 90,000), which provides a safe, small-town atmosphere. In addition, NNU is just minutes away from Boise, Idaho's capital city, and the advantages of a large urban area. The Boise Valley supports a number of music and cultural groups such as Ballet Idaho, the Boise Philharmonic, and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.NNU is also within driving distance of the world-renowned Sun Valley ski resort, beautiful McCall, the stunning Snake River, breathtaking Snake River Canyon (site of Evil Knievel's notorious attempted motorcycle jump), nearby Bogus Basin ski resort and the serene Salmon River.
Seven residence halls provide a variety of residential settings from the traditional Culver, Dooley, Ford and Sutherland Halls, which typically house underclassmen, to the Corlett, Olsen and Kirkeide apartment complexes, which provide the added amenities of apartment-style living along with the traditional benefits and convenience of on-campus living.
