About New York University Tandon School of Engineering
With over 40,000 students, NYU's campus buildings are spread throughout New York City, from midtown Manhattan to the heart of Greenwich Village, and even downtown Brooklyn. One of the United State's most creative and energetic cities, New York City's historic neighborhoods have attracted generations of writers, musicians, artists, and intellectuals.
Beyond the the campus, New York City becomes an extension of the University's campus. With institutes and centers on the Upper East Side and academic buildings down in the Financial District, getting from place to place at NYU requires a little assistance.
The University is located at Washington Square Park on the island and borough of Manhattan in the neighborhood called Greenwich Village.
The Office of Residential Life and Housing Services is responsible for the overall administration and operation of NYU’s 22 residence halls and two graduate living communities, home to approximately 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year and summer session. Our office works in coordination with many departments and student groups to provide and maintain comfortable, safe and secure living environments for New York University residents.
Living in the halls provides an invaluable complement to a student's academic career. Living and Learning are the hallmarks of the residential experience.
