About Maranatha Baptist University
Maranatha’s campus encompasses 79 acres overlooking the community of Watertown, Wisconsin. Since the initial purchase of grounds and buildings in 1968, the university has added a gymnasium, library, preschool, science lab, and dining complex. As well as new residence halls, athletic fields, modular classrooms, and additional land. All buildings are within easy walking distance for students, and shuttle service is provided for female dorm students during inclement weather
Old Main is the campus’s iconic building, was purchased from the Brothers of the Holy Cross in 1968. Built in four stages over 21 years beginning in 1873, the four-story brick building has dominated the campus since Maranatha’s early years. Today, Old Main houses offices, classrooms, a student center, a post office, a bookstore, two performing arts halls, and Maranatha Baptist Academy. Its chic coffee shop, Old Main Café, provides comfortable seating and lots of great beverages choices.
Maranatha is located in the city of Watertown, which sits on the banks of the winding Rock River in southeastern Wisconsin. Watertown, with a population of more than 23,000, offers a friendly, small-town atmosphere with convenient access to Milwaukee and Madison.
Located strategically near Interstate 94, Watertown offers residents easy access to Milwaukee to the east and Madison to the west. Both cities are approximately one hour’s drive from Watertown.
Maranatha’s five women’s dorms stand on the north side of campus and share plenty of parking lot space. Each room has many possibilities for decor, and residents enjoy filling their rooms with color and life.

Maranatha’s five men’s dorms form a semicircle on the south side of campus surrounding a large grassy quad. Students enjoy pickup football and soccer games on the quad. A parking lot is situated conveniently behind the men’s dorms, and each dorm has its own vending machines.
