Lipscomb’s campus is a place students can call home. They live and study within 66 acres of green spaces and state-of-the-art facilities. Downtown Nashville is just a short distance away, giving easy access to shops, restaurants and entertainment.
Our active campus community is what makes Lipscomb great. Student life is about taking part, making friends and having fun. Lipscomb students live, worship, compete and celebrate together, in order to be stronger as a community, and as individuals.
Students can get involved in yoga, salsa or hip-hop fitness, to name a few, and take part in annual events like the Bison Boogie race. The Student Activities Center has sports courts, fitness studios and more. Off-campus, activities like hiking, horseback riding and canoeing are all available.
Athletics are a big part of Lipscomb life, competing as the Bisons in NCAA Division I – that’s the highest level of intercollegiate sports. With 17 Bison athletics teams, there’s a lot for stduents to get excited about, as players or supporters.
Lipscomb has seven options for on-campus living in dormitory-style halls or apartment-style buildings. Bedrooms are furnished, and all buildings include computer labs, laundry services, social rooms and cable TV. Each residence hall has a director and resident assistants who will provide support and help them to settle in. Lipscomb offers all-female and all-male residence halls.
Female-only residence halls
Located near the student center with space for 325 female residents, Elam is a traditional residence hall. Elam has a common-shared lobby with TVs and an interior courtyard, plus lots of bathroom and laundry facilities for everyone to share.
Conveniently located in the heart of campus and recently renovated, Johnson provides traditional rooms, which share community bathrooms, as well as suite-style rooms with bathrooms. Johnson has space for 292 students and has 3 TV lobbies, a kitchen and a courtyard.
Male-only residence halls
Lipscomb's largest male residence hall is located next to Allen Arena. It has capacity for 381 residents, with shared bathrooms and vending machines on each floor. High Rise was renovated in 2015.
With space for 136 students, Sewell is Lipscomb’s smallest male residence hall. There is a large lobby with TVs and ping pong tables, two community bathrooms on each floor, and vending machines for resident’s needing a quick snack.
