About Hollins University
Most of Hollins students live in one of the nine residence halls on campus where they receive encouragement and guidance which enhance their learning experience. On-campus living provides a unique opportunity for residents to expand their ideas, pursue interests, resolve differences, and develop leadership skills.
All of the residences are comfortable, safe living areas that provide plenty opportunity for students to bond with each other and the residence life staff. As a residential university, undergraduate Hollins students are required to live on campus to enable them to fully benefit from their Hollins experience. Adult Horizon students are not required to live on-campus. However, there is exceptional cases.
The campus is a 10-minute drive from the Roanoke Regional Airport.
We have 10 residence halls and an apartment complex. Several of the residence halls offer housing for students with specialized interests such as community service, fine arts, or foreign languages. All of our residences are comfortable, safe living areas that provide ample opportunity for students to bond with each other and the residence life staff.
All housing except the apartments contain:
- Community bathrooms on each floor
- Full-length mirrors
- Social and study areas
- Traditional twin-size bed(s) with mattress (36″ x 72″)
- Ceiling light fixture
- Window blinds
