About Cumberland University

Cumberland University offers a variety of educational, athletic and social experiences to enhance the learning opportunities of the current student body. The university has an exceptional academic program steeped in the liberal arts. Athletic teams regularly compete for conference and national championships.

Campus information

The Cumberland University main campus is located in Lebanon, a historic community in Middle Tennessee.  The University also has operations in 3 other locations:

  • The McFarland Hall site, home of the Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing;
  • The Mt. Juliet Center, home of the School for Online and Professional Studies;
  • The Athletic Complex, home of the Bulldog football program and athletic training facilities.

Cumberland University is located in Lebanon, Tennessee, 30 miles east of Nashville.

Accommodation

​Cumberland University offers accommodations on campus for single undergraduate and graduate students of any age; but family housing options are restricted to graduate-level or full-time residence life staff serving as residence life coordinator. Our residence halls range in style from historic to modern and range in size from small to large. Also, several halls have academic or featured communities for those looking to broaden their horizons.
