About Central Christian College of Kansas

Central is a small, private, four-year college that offers over forty areas of study. Some of our most popular majors are Education, Business and Exercise Science. 

At Central our mission is to provide Christ-Centered Education for Character. While our college is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America, we welcome all students regardless of religious preference, race, color, handicap or economic status. Our students come from all faiths and backgrounds – and our college’s character and lifestyle are communicated to each prospective student. Our purpose is to nurture Christian leaders who lead lives of character and service for the betterment of our society and the world.

Campus information

With a remarkable history that dates back to 1884, Central Christian College of Kansas offers Christ-centered education for the whole person – heart, mind, body and soul.

Central Christian College offers a number of student services including nonremedial tutoring and health insurance. Central Christian College also offers campus safety and security services like lighted pathways/sidewalks and controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc). Alcohol is not permitted for students of legal age at Central Christian College.

 Located in the friendly town of McPherson, Kansas, our students enjoy easy access to a wide range of recreational activities, restaurants, medical care and numerous businesses – all in a charming, hometown atmosphere.


Where you live is your home; the residence hall you move into at Central will become your home away from home. Your roommate will become like family. The resident directors are not parents, but rather adult friends who carry a certain responsibility for your well-being.  Over 85% of Central's traditional students live on-campus.  Living on campus provides a rich and meaningful experience as students strive to live in community with one another. 

Each residence hall as a unique feel and influence as student grow together through campus activities that occur as a part of the residential program.
