About Bennington College
Bennington College is a coeducational, private, four-year liberal arts college located in Bennington, Vermont, United States. The college was founded in 1932 as a women’s college and later became a co-educational in 1969. Recently, it has 686 undergraduate students and 143 postgraduate students. There are 80 species of trees and sightings of over 121 species of birds.
It was the first college that includes the performing and visual arts as their part of the liberal arts curriculum. In addition; each of the academic year, students must take part in an off-campus, seven-week activity, winter term called Field Work Term (FWT), when the students pursue internships and jobs in their area of study. The current president of the college is Elizabeth Coleman.
