Campus information

Ashland University Department of Recreational Services operates many different facilities around campus. It is important to our department to provide facility space that is easy accessible for everyone and create the best experience possible. Rec Services maintains areas across campus that have been designated for fun outdoor and indoor activities. The Department of Recreational Services operates the Rec Center, the intramural field, four sand volleyball courts and the Kilhefner basketball court.

Basketball Courts

  • Play basketball or volleyball on the gym courts
     

Multipurpose Activity Court (MAC)

  • Play soccer on the MAC
  • Ask for tennis, volleyball, or badminton nets to be set up on the MAC


Climbing Wall

  • 24-foot climbing wall
  • 12-foot bouldering wall


Fitness Center

  • 31 units of cardio equipment including treadmills, elliptical, bicycles, Stairmill, rowers, arc-trainers and AMT machines
  • 13 selectorized weight training systems, combination of 12 free weight stations and eight televisions with Broadcast Vision


Game Room

  • Two table tennis tables
  • Three billiards tables
  • One foosball table
  • Two HD televisions with Xbox, Wii


Messerly Natatorium (Pool, Hot tub, Diving Well, and Sauna)

  • 36 courses are available including Bay Harbor, Myrtle Beach Tour, Pebble Beach and Spyglass Golf Course
  • Play the back nine, front nine, all 18 or the driving range

The campus is situated on a beautiful 135-acre campus, Ashland University affords close proximity to the big city while maintaining an intimate campus experience in a small-town feel
