About Allegheny College

Allegheny College is a coeducational, liberal, private liberal arts college located in Meadville, Pennsylvania, United States. The college was established in 1815 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Also, it is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCH).

The college has enrolled approximately 2,123 undergraduate students. Moreover, the college takes part in NCAA Division III athletics competition and also the school mascot is the Gator. Moreover, it is one of the liberal arts colleges in United States that requires their students to choose a minor and major, each in a separate academic field. The current president of the college is James H.Mullen,Jr.

From Port Meadville Airport

Firstly, you should head northeast on Middle Rd toward PA-98 S/Perry Hwy and take the 1st right onto PA-98 S/Perry Hwy. Turn left onto US-19 N/US-322 E/US-6 E/Conneaut Lake Rd and continue onto Park Ave. In addition, continue onto Park Ave and turn right onto Route 27 E. Take the 2nd left onto N Main St/State Route 86. 

Accommodation

Allegheny College has an on-campus living requirement of four years. All students are required to live in campus housing for 4 years or 8 full semesters.

Housing Options

Residence halls offer students many options in living styles. These include all-male, all-female, and co-ed buildings and rooms configured as suites, singles, doubles, triples, and quads. Independent Living Spaces (ILS) are also available for upperclass students.

North Village II: North Village II houses 230 upperclass students. Students can choose from double and quad living options. Double apartments offer single bedrooms, one bathroom, small kitchenette area with microwave, small dormitory refrigerator and a small common area. Quad apartments provide students with four single bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, stove top, and full size refrigerator and two bathrooms. This facility is air conditioned.

North Village: North Village houses 110 upperclass students in three buildings. Each building contains suites that have five single bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen, and two bathrooms. All suites share a common courtyard. This facility is air conditioned.

College Court: College Court houses 77 upperclass students in three buildings. Each building contains suites that have four single bedrooms, a living room, kitchenette (no oven)  and bathroom. All suites share a common courtyard. This facility is air conditioned.

Allegheny Commons: Allegheny Commons houses 44  upperclass students in three buildings. Each building contains suites ranging from one to four single bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen, and bathroom. This facility is air conditioned downstairs.

College Houses: The college houses that are not used for Special Interest Housing will be available for room selection. The occupancy for the houses range from 2-7 upperclass students depending on the particular house. Students will be notified of the houses available for room selection.

Brooks Hall: Brooks is an all female facility that offers students single and double living options. The building is mixed with first year students and upperclass students.

Walker Hall: Walker is a co-ed facility that offers students single and double living options. The building is a co-ed with mostly upperclass students.

Walker Annex Hall: Walker Annex is a coed facility that offers students single and double living options. The building is mixed with first year students and upperclassmen.

Schultz Hall: Schultz is a coed facility that offers students double living options. The building is mixed with first year students and upperclassmen.

Caflisch Hall: Caflisch is a coed facility that offers upperclass students a variety of housing options .

Ravine-Narvik Hall: Ravine is a coed facility that offers students double living options. The building is mixed with first year students and upperclassmen.

Crawford Hall: Crawford is an all male facility that offers student double living options. There is one single available in Crawford. The building is mixed with first year students and upperclassmen.

Baldwin Hall: Baldwin contains all doubles and is a co-ed facility for incoming first year students.
