About National Taiwan University

National Taiwan University is national co-educational research uiversity that located in Taipei, Taiwan. NTU is considered one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan. It also has strong ties with theAcademi Sinica in Taiwan in the form of research and teaching collaborations and a joint program office.Its 1,086,167 m2 main campus is located in Taipei's Da'an Districy. In addition, the university has 6 other campuses in Taipei and elsewhere, with a total area of 345,830,000 m2. The University consists of 11 colleges, 54 departments, 103 graduate institutes and 4 research centers. In 2010, the student body consisted of 17,514 undergraduate students and 15,824 graduate students.

Campus information

There is a President Office, Vice President Office, Secretariat Office, Office of Academic Affairs, Office of General Affairs, Office of Student Affairs, Office of Research and Development etc.

There is also libraries, University Press, an art centre which houses performances in which its hall is called 'The Odeum'.  There is also a Military Education Office, in charge of the administrative affairs related to military education in the university. 

Health centers can be found providing excellent medical services including: Family Medicine, Dermatology and Dentistry, just to name a few.

Once you've landed at CKS International Airport, you can either take a bus to reach Taipei city or a taxi to reach straight to the university itself. There are several bus companies that provide transportation to Taipei, in which the duration of journey is within an hour in moderate traffic. The fare for an adult would be around NT$110-NT$150.

One can also take the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) and exit at the right stop.

Within the campus itself, there are various services and facilities such as shopping malls, entertainment centres, atm, hair salon, cafeterias and so on. It is convenient as student can travel using the bus system provided in campus.
