Curriculum
Level 1: Beginner
- familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases
- understanding familiar words, phrases and very simple sentences
- write simple texts
Level 2: Pre-Intermediate
- understand and use basic language in familiar situations
- read and understand simple texts on familiar topics
- write simple, comprehensible connected texts on familiar topics
Level 3: Intermediate
- understand the main points and key supporting detail in extended oral interaction and factual information
- speak with some coherence, fluency and spontaneity to express personal ideas and sustain interaction
- read and understand a range of texts on familiar topics
- write comprehensible, connected texts on familiar topics with reasonable linguistic accuracy, using a range of text types
Level 4: Upper-Intermediate
- understand the main ideas and key supporting details of complex oral texts on familiar and sometimes unfamiliar topics
- read and understand complex texts
- locate, organise and summarise important information in texts
- speak with fluency and spontaneity to communicate with some degree of elaboration
