Entry Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications accepted/recognised by the university.
  • International students following degree programmes in University of Malaya are required to attend and pass the Bahasa Malaysia course before the degree can be conferred.
  • The minimum level for the English proficiency for postgraduate candidates is IELTS band 6 or a TOEFL score of 550 if they obtained their Bachelor’s degree from a university in which the medium of instruction is a language other than English.

Curriculum

  • This programme consists of 145 credits comprising 20 credits University courses, 14 credits non-engineering core courses, 106 credits engineering core courses (including 5 credits of Industrial Training), and 8 credits elective courses.
