How is the academic life at this university/college? Basically, every course has its own aspect and it all depends on the effort of the student. For engineering, it is difficult in the sense of the Project-Based Learning, which students are grouped and has to come up with a project idea to conceive and conceptualize a solution to a current challenge and build a working model to address the challenge by the end of the semester. Because of this, most of the learning comes from self-learning. What are the students like? Students are generally competitive in Taylor's University. Students are also active with co-curricular activities. In most days, there would be activities going on in campus. Some of the activities and events are INKED Verbal Bullying Awareness Campaign, BORDERS Refugee Awareness Campaign, businesses, charity, music festival, sports competitions, exploration race etc. Taylor's also has a program named Scholars@Work. Students who received scholarships from Taylor's had to do activities and participate in some campus work and fulfill their Scholar's Hours. In order to maintain their scholarship, these students had to maintain a CGPA of 3.00 and do around 80 to 240 hours of work depending on the amount of scholarship waiver given. So, everyday you can see students in their Scholars@Work T-shirts around campus doing their jobs. Contrary to people's believe, students in Taylor's are generally nice compared to what speculations said. People here are not arrogant, spoiled, and egoistic as gossiped. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. There are those who really love to participate in club activities and events will be busy attending meetings and organizing their events, having fun eating and drinking when they are not studying, and those who rush back home everyday after classes and never appear again until the next class. There's a fair amount of clubs ranging from Dance Club, Music Club, Debaters, Futsal Club, Engineering, Computer Science Club(Taylor's University Agent of Tech), and so on. When not studying, students can be seen working on their projects in the labs What is your overall opinion about this university/college? Taylor's University is a university of high accreditation and is also in the Top 150 Universities in Asia. Though, The experience would really depend on the person. Opportunities like the Shine Award Program, Scholars Development Program, and ongoing campus events all have the necessary resources and very supportive management who take to heart to build future leaders. Taylor's not only focus on Academics but also the skills needed to be competitive in life and for the future careers.
