New International Students Welcomed at Taylor’s University

30 Oct 2015

A series of six Welcome Receptions have been held to welcome over 460 new international students over the last 6 weeks. Organised by the International Student Services (ISS), these Welcome Receptions provide new international students with essential information and advice to help their transition into life in Malaysia and at Taylor's University. The new international students were briefed on issues relating to "Living in Malaysia" as well as "Cultural Understanding" in addition to topics such as "Medical Health Plan & Hospitalization" and Malaysia regulations relating to immigration and student visas.

These new full-time enrolled students arrived from Indonesia, China, Korea, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Maldives, Tanzania, Yemen and Japan amongst other countries – including our first ever student from Mexico. We also have exchange students coming from France, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, UK, Italy and Austria. An exchange student joins us for this semester from the Slovak Republic (but who is studying in The Netherlands). For more info, you may contact Ms. Denise Loke, Manager of the International Student Services or check out the official website.
