About this course

The objective of the programme is to create accouting proffessionals. In this course, students would be taught to understand financial transactions and to prepare accounting records for internal and external reporting purposes, indentify accounting issues, communicate in an effective, ethical and professional manner, provide administrative support to management, untitise ICT in managing information as well as exploring their entrepreneurial skills. Emphasis is placed on accounting best practices and financial management, whereby students will acquire the necessary skills in accounting. 

The course is made up of comprehensive modules which provides a solid understanding of the core concepts in Accounting, together with the related and relevant practices, methodologies and theories. Students would be equipped with the technical expertise in accounting disciplines including the transferrable evaluative and analytical skills. Students are taught effective communication skills and the basic knowledge in the business environment.
 

Entry Requirements

  • 3 Credits at SPM or, 
  • Successful completion of high school or O-levels/equivalent or, 
  • 2 Principal passes at STPM or, 
  • 3Bs in Senior Middles 3 (UEC) or, 
  • A-levels or equivalent
