About Accademia del Volo Flight Academy

Accademia del Volo is an approved training organisation (IT.ATO.0048) accredited by the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) and the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC). Our training centre is based at the site of an international airport – ‘San Francesco d’Assisi’ in Perugia, Italy – and provides high-level theoretical and practical training taught by experienced flight instructors and using the latest techniques and equipment.

Whether your dream is to fly for an airline or just as a hobby, at Accademia del Volo you will receive the best professional training in an environment which respects the highest safety standards. Our flight instructors are expert professionals who have many years of experience and who are passionate about sharing their enthusiasm and flight knowledge with all those who aspire to become a pilot.

Accademia del Volo is certified by EASA and ENAC - the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, as a Part-ORA certified training organisation to provide and conduct Part-FCL training courses.

At Accademia del Volo’s training centre, our cadets are not only taught by highly-qualified instructors, but also have the opportunity to train at the site of an international airport. This important location allows students to be in touch with the real world of aviation and also means they are connected with other professionals.

How to reach us from Rome:

Take the Cassia-bis (exit 5 from the GRA, Rome’s ring road) and continue to Viterbo. Recommended exits: Viterbo Nord or Viterbo Centro-Aeroporto
Take the A1 towards Firenze. Exit at Orte and continue on the Terni-Viterbo highway. Exit Viterbo Nord.

From Florence:

Take the A1 motorway and exit at Orte. Continue on the Terni-Viterbo highway and exit at Viterbo Nord.

From Rieti:

Take the Rieti-Terni highway; when you come to Terni, continue towards Viterbo on the Terni-Viterbo highway in the direction of Orte. Exit at Viterbo Nord.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in course costs. Accademia del Volo has affiliated residential structures located nearby; alternatively, the International student support service will provide assistance in helping students find a suitable place to live during their training.
