How is the academic life at this university/college? Deciding to study in UNSW means a lot of preparations to do. Not only you will have to prepare for a good IELTS score, but also require decent academic knowledge, passion, and research skills. Once you study there, you will rarely get disturbed because of UNSW's campus location, especially in Kensington, the heart of UNSW's world-class Business School. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. Like most Australian universities, UNSW has a lot of social and sports life, in which students can join. Lately, I've been fascinated by their university's magazine, which they call it Blitz. Compared to what I've written in my own university's magazine, I can say that Blitz's contents are fairly light and easier to be read. Perhaps one of Blitz's most remarkable features is their colourful graphic design and seemingly-flawless layout management. Other than university magazine, they also have their own community for handling every social and sports-related extracurriculars called Arc. Arc typically will handle huge databases of all available clubs on UNSW, including the clubs' rules and procedures and applying for new members or clubs. In addition, Arc also organizes various campus' cafe's foods and beverages. Arc has their own website, which can only be fully accessed by UNSW's students. Social and sports life are also available via students' accommodations. Many on-campus colleges offer rich social and sporting experiences. Kensington Colleges often held boisterous social parties and competitive sporting life. Many undergraduate students participate in it. What is your overall opinion about this university/college? UNSW is a great place to study. It is located far away from the heart of the city, so, you will be able to focus more on your studies. Along with its' reputable ranking in its' Business School, UNSW is surely a great place to maximize your employable qualities. In choosing the proper accommodations, please do keep in mind that even apartments are expensive: It costs $200-$300 per week. Don't go far away from campus if you decided to choose off-campus accommodations, or else, you will get late often. What are the students like? New students will be accompanied by a student mentor who comes from the same country, so, expect more intimate relationships between mentor and new students. Students can apply for being a mentor starting from the third semester, as long as they have all the necessary soft skills to cope with their mentees' conditions. Aside from being mentors, students are able to attend several pieces of training, seminars, and workshops that will enhance their future CV quality as well as their academic knowledge.
