About Murdoch Institute of Technology
A major part of life at MIT and Murdoch University, supporting teaching and learning needs across all fields.
Featuring online and print collections, study spaces and computer access, the Library has everything you’ll need to conduct research and write assignments. Best of all, there is a specialist team of research and study support staff on hand to help.
The Library features a number of computing labs (eLibraries) where you can access online resources for learning and research. The Library catalogue, Library services and the electronic databases are available from these areas. If you’re not sure how to use these databases there is training available and staff on hand to help.
24/7 Learning Common
Do you need to study late into the night sometimes? After the Library closes, you can access the 24/7 Learning Common. The 24/7 Library Learning Common is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can work when you want.
Sometimes you want to study with friends or you might have a group assignment you need to work on. At Murdoch University, there are numerous group study areas that can be booked by students. Some of these contain Audio Visual facilities.

Hostel accommodation is a good temporary option when you first arrive in Perth. Student Services can advise where you can book into a local hostel until you decide on more permanent accommodation.
In Australia, age restrictions apply to certain accommodation options. If you are under the age of 18 you are required by law to either have a legal guardian who is a direct family member over the age of 21 with whom you will live with in Perth, or live in a homestay arrangement with a local carer approved by MIT.
