Entry Requirements
Placement test and an oral interview are arranged on the first Monday a student arrives at the AAC Language Centre to identify the suitable level of studies. The test covers reading, writing and grammar. A teacher will then monitor class progress of the student to ensure that he/she is in the appropriate level. When the student has progressed in their English language ability, they may be moved to the next level.
Curriculum
Students will be able to cope with newspaper articles and the like, without comprehension being held back by occasional new vocabulary. They will be able to perform demanding practical tasks (such as business letters) quite comfortably. They will achieve strong comprehension in all but the most demanding situations e.g., involving very formal, idiomatic or technical language. In most situations students will be able to confidently sustain and lead extended interactions, using a wide range of language appropriately.
