1. Eat enough
Don't stuff all the food in front of you. Overeating will only lead to fatigue, and will make you feel hungry earlier (and you don't want to feel hungry before Iftar).
Remember, eat the normal portion and drink at least two cups of water to stay hydrated till the next meal time.
2. Eat slowly
Don’t rush to finish all the food.Chew it properly to ensure your body has sufficient time to absorb the nutrients. If you are rushing to finish the food, the sugar level will increase and hence, you will feel fatigued and thirsty.
3. Drink plain water
It is important for you to drink sufficient amount of plain water. Avoid drinking water with high sugar content (ie: juice, carbonated drinks and rose water syrup). Sugary drinks can make you feel energised, but the sugar will cause you to feel thirsty faster later in the afternoon. Therefore, drinking sufficient amount plain water before Sahur so that you can stay hydrated throughout the day.
Peeps, hesitate no more. Follow the Sahur tips correctly and stay energised throughout the fasting days. Remember, don’t rush to eat and drink. Be cool, take it slowly and take only the appropriate amount. Selamat manyambut ibadah puasa. :)
