New UNDP Goodwill Ambassador: Michelle Yeoh

The Malaysia-born action heroine stated that she wants to be there for those who were left behind in this world, regardless if they were born a woman, born in deprived or destructed area. She also aspires to do all she can to aid people cope with difficulties and strive towards a better life and safer world.

After the earthquake disaster that struck Nepal on April 2015, Yeoh who personally experienced the trauma when she travelled to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu for the Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress with her husband, hopes that she has a big influence as a movie star to motivate on the disaster recovery efforts in Nepal and beyond.
