Johor Government’s Scholarships Remain

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that Johor government will continue to offer scholarships to students to pursue higher studies locally or abroad.
He also assured that there will be no reduction or changes in the quantum and period of the scholarships.Mohamed Khaled added that the state government has no plans to revise the allocation in the budget for the study loan and scholarship scheme which is handled by Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (YPJ) at the moment.
In 2015, the state government allocated RM13.5 million to loan 1,859 students locally and RM978,000 to 52 students to pursue higher studies abroad. These loans are converted to scholarships if a student's scores reached high academic achievement, based on certain criteria.
