For A Sustainable Future: ESTCON 2016

With the theme “Engineering, Science, Technology and Humanities: Convergence for a Sustainable Future,” ESTCON 2016 aims at bridging all community of experts in research and innovation in sustaining of knowledge for the betterment of society.
During the event’s soft launch on 30 May, Datuk Ir (Dr) Abdul Rahim Hj Hashim, Chairman of ESTCON 2016 said the event is expecting more than 1,400 research and development (R&D) experts from over 50 countries to participate in the congress.
ESTCON 2016 is an excellent 'centre stage' for knowledge-sharing, intellectual discussions and also networking on various areas of interests; for all academics, researchers, scientists, engineers, interest groups, and industry experts from all around the world. The event is the largest congress in the world with nine simultaneously held international conferences.
There are 9 simultaneously held conferences, namely:
- International Conference on Integrated Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences (ICIPEG 2016)
- International Conference on Civil, Offshore & Environmental Engineering (ICCOEE 2016)
- International Conference on Production, Energy and Reliability (ICPER 2016)
- International Conference on Process Engineering and Advanced Materials (ICPEAM 2016)
- International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems (ICIAS 2016)
- International Conference on Computer & Information Sciences (ICCOINS 2016)
- International Conference on Fundamental and Applied Sciences (ICFAS 2016)
- International Conference on Leadership and Management (ICLM 2016)
- International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (ICHSS 2016)
The ESTCON 2016 keynote speakers are Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, PETRONAS President and Group Chief Executive Officer and Professor Jackie Y. Ying, the Executive Director of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Singapore. Other panel speakers from various industries were also invited in the event.
Organised by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) with the support of Ministry of Education, (MOHE), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM), and Yayasan Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Yayasan UTP), ESTCON 2016 will a good venue for brainstorming and sharing ideas towards a more sustainable future.
